27 Feb         A Day in the Life of a Victorian Governess   -   Liz Keeley
                         (Liz takes us through a typical working day in the life of a 19th century
                           governess with the help of extracts from diaries and other documents)

27 Mar        Transportation and Beyond   -   John Barnett
                         (An account of the history of felons – in particular the first and second  
                           fleets to Australia, with life on board and on arrival. Examples are
                           given of some of those from Derbyshire).

24 Apr        The Victorian Fair - freak shows and fisticuffs   -   Dr Ann Featherstone

29 May        Policing in 19th century Derbyshire   -   Robert Mee
                         (Robert looks at the establishment and early days of the county and
                           borough constabularies).

26 June       Visit to Derby Police Museum for a guided tour   -    Ashley Waterhouse
                         Meet at St. Peter’s Church Hall car park at 6-30 pm.
                         Fee £3: a head. Terrain may be uneven in parts – some stairs.

31 July        Walk round Findern   -   John Hawkins
                         Meet at St. Peter’s Church Hall car park at 6-30 pm.
                         Fee £4: a head (includes refreshments)
                         Terrain flat – one gentle slope – distance 1 mile

28 Aug        Zeppelin Terror from the Skies (1916)   -   Stephen Flinders
                        (The Great Midlands Zeppelin Raid – in January 1916, nine
                         German Zeppelins left Germany to attack Liverpool
                          but the East Midlands suffered instead).                                          

25 Sept       The Mystery of the Morris   -   Graham Clark
                         with Ripley Morris Dancing Men – (history & demo.)

30 Oct        Joseph Wright   -   Lucy Bamford
                       (Lucy Bamford is the co-author of a new book which shows how persistent
                         mental and physical health problems affected artist Wright’s work).

27 Nov        Facing the Night   -   Mick Appleby
                        (Mick explores how in past times darkness was threatening and full of
                         malice from witches, foul spirits, thieves and killers. How did people
                         protect themselves from these perils?)
